For Sale: 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 XL in Beaumont, Texas for sale in Beaumont, TX

1 of 6
Vehicle Description Car is located in Beaumont, TX.
This was my grandfather's car which was seldom driven.
Car only has 24,000 original miles.
After he passed away the car was in the possession of my parents who never drove it.
It sat outside under a tarp for 10 years and then in a garage for 4 years and then back under a tarp for the last year.
My parents have passed and I do not have time to restore the car.
It needs a lot of attention but, as far as I know, the drive train is still good.
It was running when dad parked it in the driveway.
I believe it has a 302ci V8 with automatic trans and A/C.
The body has original maroon paint but is faded.
Some dents in chrome and door dings.
Black interior.
Never wrecked.
Black vinyl top has deteriorated.
This car is very restorable.
Like I said.
.
only 24,000 miles.
Don't know much else about vehicle.
There is another identical Galaxy 500 owned by my other grandparents (same year, model, color, engine, etc) It is located 100 miles from Beaumont, near Hemphill, TX.
The body of this car is in horrible shape but the rest could be used for parts.
It comes with the nicer car if you want it but you will have to make arrangements to haul it off from my family's old country home in East Texas.
Otherwise it will be target practice for local country boys.
Important:
I do not have the tittle to this car.
When my grandfather died his current wife sold it to a dealer.
My father bought it from the dealer to keep it in the family.
However, he never got the title transferred.
It's still in my Grandfather's name.
You will have to deal with getting a new title.
I don't have the time to mess with it.
(Update.
.
I recently had to move this vehicle under a shed due to city regulations for disabled cars.
In doing so, I managed to do some slight damage to the left rear fender.
For this reason and the title issue the price is slightly negotiable.
