Operations Controller - Beaumont, TX

SALARY
Base Salary = $80k to $100k
OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Operations Controller based in its Beaumont, Texas manufacturing facility. The Operations Controller will report to the CFO with dotted line reporting to the COO, and interface with senior management on a daily basis. The right candidate will have strong accounting and analytical skills and proven operational experience in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Management of monthly, quarterly & annual operations close process
In conjunction with the COO, prepare monthly financial forecasts
Direct and oversee all project accounting, including revenue and cost recognition and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely
Analysis of project profitability including material and labor variances vs. bid estimates
Assist with the management of working capital including monitoring collections and inventory levels
Prepare allocation of shared costs
Maintain robust internal control environment over operations
Support external financial and tax audits
Special financial and accounting projects as designated by CFO & COO
Implementation of KPIs and other operational performance metrics

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years hands-on accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Technically strong and well versed in U.S. GAAP, manufacturing and construction accounting, including percentage of completion accounting.
Bachelor degree in accounting, MBA or CPA certification preferred
Strong communication skills
MAS 500 & crystal reporting experience a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Our client offers a competitive compensation package including performance based incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, 401k and employee stock purchase plan.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
