Reliability Engineer Overview:
Responsibilities:
Manage site relief device program, piping, boiler, vessel, and tank inspection programs.
Optimize PM schedule for equipment, piping and relief devices.
Works with maintenance and capital project engineers to ensure that safe, cost effective, and reliable projects are implemented.
Communicates with Maintenance Engineering to ensure long term maintenance equipment problems are appropriately investigated with solutions implemented.
Evaluate corrosion rates and remaining life and recommend changes to inspection frequencies and methods.
Generate projects/replacement for end-of-life equipment and piping.
Perform vessel calculations to ensure fitness for service.
Implement RBI as required.
Lead engineer for API inspectors.
Advise, review and approve repairs and modifications to equipment.
Needs working knowledge of API and ASME codes.
Manage monthly equipment inspection/PM due dates to maintain compliance.
Support site Maintenance Department as required for routine repair and maintenance activities.
Departments as fixed equipment Subject Matter Expert.
Lead equipment troubleshooting teams.
Creation and/or approval of MOCs relating to fixed equipment and relief devices.
Develop, maintain and update maintenance and reliability inspection procedures.
Implementation of corporate initiatives as related to fixed equipment and inspection responsibilities.
Ensure newly built equipment conforms to approved drawings, codes, best practices and standards BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
Minimum of 6
years' maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience in petrochemical/chemical or pulp and paper manufacturing industry is required.
Experience in root cause analysis and effective implementation of corrective actions.
Self-motivated and goal oriented with proven success working independently and with cross functional groups.
Works well with all levels of the organization.
Practical experience and knowledge of codes and regulations such as API 510, 570, 653, 579 & 580.
Greenbelt, Blackbelt or Lean Certification.
(Preferred) Experience in field applying maintenance and reliability principles to mechanical repair work or improvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Independent worker with a bias for action.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
