ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Receives orders for products.
Determines customer of product specification, required shipping date, unique delivery needs and any additional information needed by the dispatcher.
Writes or types order form, and/or enters data into computer, for assignment by dispatcher Records and files copy of orders received Routes orders to dispatchers for assignment and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
Receives and checks customer complaints Confers with sales and dispatch to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job is a typical office setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
