REQUIRED EDUCATION/MINIMUM
Qualifications:
RN with associate degree in nursing and four years of clinical experience, including two years as a charge nurse.
Current license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
JOB
Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible and accountable for directing and facilitating the flow of patient care activities of the department/area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
o Supports and assists with the development and actualization of the department's/area's goals (strategic plan).
o Coordinates and directs the department's/area's patient care operations for an assigned shift.
o Competently provides care appropriate to age and specialty of the patient as defined by the department.
o Manages personnel effectively and analyzes workload and skill requirement to meet care needs for assigned shift.
o Promotes and practices cost containment.
o Practices and promotes patient/family advocacy and assists with maintenance of ethical procedure.
o Practices and promotes positive peer and guest relations.
o Participates in and promotes quality improvement and nursing research activates.
o Functions as a leader.
o Actively participates in and promotes the development of self and others.
o List all essential job functions, responsibilities, activities, and tasks.
o Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
o Performs related duties as required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
