Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and test all instrument transformer rated meters.
Test, verify and troubleshoot all System tie points.
Troubleshoot communications of remote metering.
Perform vector, load analysis and power factor tests on all metering installations.
Calculate meter constants on all types of installations.
Operate packaged meter and recorder software applications.
Prepare service orders, multiplier sheets, and associated paperwork for transformer rated meters.
Distribution Line outage restoration, such as scouting and refusing.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of utility field experience is required.
Must have competent computer skills.
Must have competent Mathematics and Trigonometry skills Knowledge of basic electric circuit analysis, vector I phase or relationship.
Knowledge of meter terminology is mandatory.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Must be customer oriented.
Must be able to work in industrial and petrochemical plants.
Must be a self:
starter, dependable, have the ability to plan and organize.
Must have good hand:
eye coordination, color vision, visual acuity and physical dexterity.
Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
Must be able to carry 80 pounds Salary and Classification will depend on knowledge and experience.
Qualifications:
Experience in Field Metering.
Associate Degree.
Company Testing:
Successful completion of the EEI CAST test.
