Operations Engineer IIl:

Organize, lead, and participate on various plant optimization teams composed of Technology, Process Development, and Engineering personnel to conduct lab and/or plant trials.
Evaluate trial results and implement changes to improve plant performance.
5.
Submission and timely completion of MOCs as appropriate.
6.
Adequately train unit personnel in regards to process chemistry and unit operations.
Participate in training unit personnel to follow operating procedures.
Ensure unit personnel understand operating permit conditions and develop appropriate measures to achieve full compliance (process controls, alarms, operating procedures, etc.
).
7.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of the unit's Process Manual.
Assist in developing new operating procedures and improve the existing procedures.
9.
Submit Screening Forms and be the Manufacturing Representative for unit Capital Projects.
10.
Lead the use of Lean methodologies to drive continuous operational improvements including the cultural transformation to Lean mindsets and behaviors (5S, SMED, Visual Management, Standard Work, RCA, etc.
).
11.
Satisfactorily perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Required:

A Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years professional experience.
