MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY MANAGER

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager manages and directs the activities of personnel responsible for implementing all applicable maintenance and reliability standards for the purpose of inspecting, maintaining, monitoring, and improving the integrity and reliability of plant equipment.
managing and co-ordinating the implementation of those SHE standards which relate to the integrity of assets implementing and maintaining local standards, procedures, compliance auditing and regulatory compliance reporting, including maintenance procedures and training training and developing nominees and site-based Responsible Engineers appointing new design authorities and design verification authorities ensuring organizational competence of the site for delivery of engineering standards.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage the asset, teams and processes to deliver World Class SHE performance in line with the site strategy.
Manage the efficient and sustainable delivery of applicable functional engineering standards, including their incorporation into the site systems and procedures, managing the annual assessment process and leading the compilation of the Letter of Assurance program and leading gap closure programs to ensure full compliance.
Lead the site processes for the training, coaching and development, auditing and assurance, and appointment of suitable and sufficient AIP responsible engineers and nominees, ensuring competence in line with company standards and legislation.
Lead the strategic and tactical provision of on-site and off-site suppliers and partners, reviewing and managing in-sourcing and out-sourcing decisions, and ensuring the provision of technical competent, suitable and sufficient external resources to the site.
Develop and manage the delivery of the engineering and maintenance strategies for the site, ensuring alignment with the site strategy, and effective deployment into the team's objectives.
Manage the site assets, employees and contractors to lead the site delivery of competitive, efficient, and to standard (SHE, engineering standards, reliability, cost and timeliness) maintenance, reliability, and overhaul activities.
SPECIAL FEATURES The job holder is a member of the Management Team and one of the four most senior managers on site.
The job holder needs very high standards and the ability to manage a diverse and complex workload through a large team.
It is vital that the team is developed to support business globally in those activities which are strategic (including Process Control, Measurement, Machines, Materials, and Preventive and Predictive Maintenance techniques).
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS NEEDED The jobholder will be a fellow (or equivalent) engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and an MBA, with extensive asset and maintenance experience at a senior management level.
Typical experience will be >20 years.
Certification as a Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus.
The job holder will have direct line management experience of engineering and maintenance teams, at management and technical level.
