Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years professional experience Strong technical skills that include the ability to analyze and systematically solve challenging issues.
Strong leadership skills and initiative to lead various teams to success.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
Relevant experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience with LEAN methodologies.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TECQ, and other applicable codes and regulations.
Position Description:
Evaluate trial results and implement changes to improve plant performance.
Submission and timely completion of MOCs as appropriate.
Participate in training unit personnel to follow operating procedures.
Ensure unit personnel understand operating permit conditions and develop appropriate measures to achieve full compliance (process controls, alarms, operating procedures, etc.
Maintain and ensure accuracy of the unit Process Manual.
Assist in developing new operating procedures and improve the existing procedures.
Lead the use of Lean methodologies to drive continuous operational improvements including the cultural transformation to Lean mindsets and behaviors (5S, SMED, Visual Management, Standard Work, RCA, etc.
).
Satisfactorily perform other duties as assigned.
